The PEN Group Clinical Update Course

The BDA validated Clinical Update postgraduate course in clinical nutrition has been running since 1985, and can be used towards the Advanced Diploma in Dietetic Practice.

 

The British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition

The Pen Group is one of the 5 founder members that makes up BAPEN. In addition to having academic sessions at the annual BAPEN meeting, the PEN Group are involved with BAPEN Council, working parties and contribute to their publications.

 

PEN Group Meetings

The PEN Group hold an annual educational meeting in addition to the BAPEN sessions.

 

Close links with Universities

The PEN Group have produced guidelines on clinical nutrition for use by the universities in training dietitians and is developing links to improve nutrition education for medical students.

 

Other

The PEN Group is widely consulted on nutritional issues by organisations including professional, commercial and Government bodies and contributes to ESPEN and the British Standards institute (BSI)
